Why Bogota? / ¿Por qué Bogota?
DrupalCon Latin America is our first DrupalCon in an emerging Drupal community, and we couldn’t be more excited to be hosted by the wonderful people of Bogota, Colombia.
The local Drupal community in Bogota, and the greater Drupal community across Latin America is talented and passionate, with lots to offer the global Drupal community. Our mission for DrupalCon Latin America is to build stronger Drupal ties around the world by fostering international friendships and knowledge-sharing, and to facilitate business networking between the local Bogota Drupal community and the greater global one.
Bogota is a beautiful city in an incredible country. Colombian coffee is some of the best in the world, while the nation’s ecotourism draws hundreds of thousands of tourists from across the globe each year. Having DrupalCon Latin America in such a great place means we’re not only building better bridges within the Drupal community, but supporting Colombia’s growth, and providing our community members with a fantastic travel opportunity at the same time.

La comunidad local Drupal en Bogotá, y la gran comunidad Drupal de Latinoamérica es talentosa y apasionada, con mucho que ofrecer para la comunidad global de Drupal. Nuestra misión con DrupalCon Latinoamérica es fortalecer los lazos de la comunidad alrededor del mundo, fomentando las amistades internacionales y el intercambio de conocimiento, así como para facilitar la creación de redes de negocios locales entre la comunidad Drupal de Bogotá y global.
Bogotá es una hermosa ciudad en un país increíble. El café colombiano es uno de los mejores del mundo, mientras que el ecoturismo de la nación atrae a cientos de miles de turistas de todo el mundo cada año. Tener el DrupalCon Latinoamérica en tan grandioso lugar significa no solo estar construyendo mejores lazos dentro de la comunidad Drupal, sino además apoyar el crecimiento de Colombia, proporcionando al mismo tiempo a los miembros de la comunidad una fantástica oportunidad de viajar!
