Rules to Rule the World and any Drupal Challenge.

Speakers:

Description of presentation

I will present some use cases where we need certain tasks that would provide a better set of functionality but we don't want to leverage a full blown module. I will be presenting advantages of creating small sets of functionality such as components.
I will briefly present some of the common cases where there are some tasks that would be able to get pre, and post events handling and leveraging Drupal events to connect to other tasks.
I will leave a space to have questions and also share links and further resources to extend the learning experience. My personal preference would be present in Spanish.

Learning Objectives

The attendees will have the chance to see many common cases where they will be needing the use of rules framework. Also, after the session they will be able to create their own rules, rule sets, and components to leverage Drupal events in a basic level. They will be able to know how to look for further resources.

Experience in this matter

I have about one year of experience using Rules and I have had to implement many complex requirements for some US Government sites that had many constrictions. I was under serious time constraints while implementing these additions and so I had to immerse myself while leveraging the capabilities of Rules + Views + Views Bulk Operations + PHP code. The experience was incredible and I was able to create some great solutions.

Motivation for the audience to attend to this specific session

Most of the Drupal site builders will find themselves with the need to add some chain of events after something is created, etc. The ability to complement events with some further processing is very valuable for any Site builder or Drupal Developer.
